ABOUT
TART Studios is dedicated to making the arts more accessible and inclusive, starting with TART Magazine, which began as a university project. Recognizing the disparity in opportunities for working-class artists in the UK's creative industry, especially in regions outside of the capital, TART Magazine was created to spotlight emerging talents from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The magazine quickly gained traction, celebrating the diverse creative scene of the Northeast and showcasing the works of new talents.
Driven by the success of TART Magazine, TART Studios expanded to include The TART Podcast, creating avenues for artists and creatives to connect, learn, and grow. The podcast serves as an educational resource, delving into art history from underrepresented perspectives and providing a platform for discussions on contemporary arts discourse. Through open editorials and guest features, TART Studios continues to champion emerging artists, offering them the visibility and support needed to thrive in the competitive art world.
Looking ahead, TART Studios aims to evolve into a physical space that fosters creativity and collaboration, providing affordable studio spaces, workshops, and outreach programs to empower the next generation of artists. The goal is not just to highlight talent but to actively contribute to the development of successful careers and enterprises within the Northeast and beyond.
